Car driving lesson.

Your first lesson, most people still remember their first lesson! Sweaty palms, sensitive stomach…..For one person more so than for another, but still, for everyone it’s more or less exiting.

But why?

When you look around you in everyday traffic, you see a countless number of people who all know how to drive a car.

These people have all learned how to drive!

What are the criteria to be able to drive well and to pass your exam?

During the exam five items are important:

Handling your vehicle.

Do you control the car and in the right way.

Safety

Do you create enough space around the car and do you recognise the dangers of traffic

Flow

Do you drive without hindering other traffickers.

Social driving behaviour.

Do you consider other people in traffic; especially the weaker participants like children, elderly, pedestrians and cyclists and are you able to react well to mistakes made by others

Sustainable driving

Using the techniques of ‘het nieuwe rijden’ the new kind of driving.

To be able to do well in all these five areas, it’s important to have a good education.

How do you know what a good education is?

A good lesson is tuned in to the student. Considering all people are different and they also learn in different ways, a good instructor will adapt to the student and not vice versa.

We work with an instruction card so you are guided through all the steps accurately towards the exam.

At driving school Compas we think it is important for you to become a good and safe driver, so you will be able to enjoy your licence for a long time. Therefore we also practise various situations in traffic, like making an emergency stop, if necessary in the verge of the road.

Your driving lessons will be in a Seat Ibiza Ecomotive or Seat Ibiza Style. They are both, easy to handle, compact cars with airco, ABS and cruise control. There is also a navigation system aboard which you will learn to operate.

Before your exam,

you can do an interim test (TTT), it’s sort of a trial exam.

Before this test you must have passed your theory exam.

During the TTT you will drive with an examiner of the CBR and your instructor, you will show your driving skills to them.

You will have to show a few special skills and when you pass these you will get an exemption for these special skills for your driving exam. Afterwards you talk about the test with the examiner and the instructor so you will have a good view of your driving skills so far.

A driving lesson takes 1,5 hours because we feel that what you learn while driving can be practised in more different situations and then it will sink in.

We also choose not to drive just in Emmen, but we go to Hoogeveen once in a while, or maybe Assen or Groningen.

Because once you have your licence, you must be able to drive anywhere.

Packages are very simple.

You can buy a car driving package which contains: 10 lessons (1,5 hours each), TTT and one driving exam.

Besides that you can buy a 10 lesson package.

If you have any lessons left afterwards, you will get a refund. So you only pay for the lessons that you take.
